Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet

Image
Stuttgart. The Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupé and Cabriolet are the most emotionally appealing representatives of the luxury-class family of models. The latest measures to boost their attractiveness make these two dream cars even more desirable. The styling has been sportily honed with the front sections, in particular, being given a fresh look. The all-LED headlamps have been given flatter housings, while the interior of the LED tail lights has been reworked. At the same time the two-door models take on the key upgrade features of the other body variants as part of the facelift. These include electrified, and therefore more efficient, petrol as well as diesel engines with integrated starter-alternator, the next generation of driving assistance systems and the infotainment system MBUX infotainment system (Mercedes-Benz User Experience). The E-Class Coupé and Cabriolet will be making their debut with sales partners in Europe in autumn 2020. Original Post

Mercedes AMG E-Class Coupé

Affalterbach. Mercedes-AMG systematically continues to strengthen its brand identity: the new E 53 4MATIC+ Coupé (combined fuel consumption: 9.1-8.9 l/100 km; combined CO2 emissions: 209-204 g/km)[1] have now also been given the characteristic AMG-specific radiator grille with vertical louvres. Its A-shaped design and the flatter all-LED headlamps create a width-emphasising, powerful impression. The restyled front apron in its A-wing design also has a positive influence on the overall vehicle proportions. Thoroughly enhanced, the interior also demonstrates even more affinity to the AMG family. Large displays, the new AMG Performance steering wheel and the MBUX infotainment system with AMG-specific functions and displays create the characteristic Performance Luxury ambience. The electrified 3.0-litre engine with twin turbocharging via an exhaust gas turbocharger and an electric additional compressor generates an output of 320 kW (435 hp) and produces a peak torque of 520 Nm. Its EQ

Available in two output and torque variants, the completely newly developed 2.0-litre engine is the world's most powerful turbocharged four-cylinder engine in manufactured for series production. The S-variant with 310 kW (421 hp) jostles with considerably higher vehicle classes. Perfect sequences in all driving situations, and fast gearshifts measured in milliseconds, are guaranteed by the new AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT-8G dual-clutch transmission with eight gears. The active, fully-variable AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive distributes the power to the rear axle wheel-selectively by AMG TORQUE CONTROL – for top traction and the s

Affalterbach. An elegant and electrified coupé with superb agility and driving dynamics, a high-traction all-wheel drive vehicle offering exceptional everyday comfort: the new Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 (S) 4MATIC+ Coupé (combined fuel consumption: 11.5 l/100 km; combined CO2 emissions: 263-262 g/km) [1] combines numerous vehicle personalities in one model. At the heart of the Performance SUV Coupé is the AMG 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine, which has been electrified here with an EQ Boost starter-alternator and a 48-volt on-board electrical system to deliver a particularly immediate response at start-up. The base model delivers an output of 420 kW (571 hp), the S variant an impressive 450 kW (612 hp). Impressive agility is guaranteed by the AMG RIDE CONTROL+ air-sprung suspension with AMG ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL roll stabilisation on a 48-volt basis, the fully variable AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive and the AMG SPEEDSHIFT TCT 9G 9-speed automatic transmission. 2021 AMG C63S 4MATIC+

@j.b.cars has edited what we consider the best render available of the new Mercedes-Benz C-Class (internal code W206). Unfortunately, following the market trend imposed by highly restrictive EU emission and noise regulations, it is likely that the new C63S will be discontinued as a twin-turbo V8, to become a turbocharged 4 cylinder with a 48V mild hybrid package and over 550hp. Ferrari F42 Concept

Image
The Ferrari F40 is an icon. One could even argue that the V8-powered coupe is one of the best supercars ever produced. But the F40’s discontinuation in 1992 marked the end of an era; Ferrari quickly replaced it with the F50 in 1995, and the Enzo later down the line in 2002. But one rendering artist wants to bring the iconic F40 back in the form of a modern supercar. Dubbed the Ferrari F42, artist @paulbreshke took seven months to create his virtual Ferrari F40 descendant, and the end result is a stunning "what if." Drawing inspiration not only from the iconic F40, but also multiple Ferrari models, the concept has a sleek front fascia highlighted by slim LED headlights, multiple vents and carbon fibre trim pieces, and a lower diffuser with body-coloured accents. Note: This is an independent design by @paulbreshke and in no way related or endorsed by Ferrari. Original Post

Ford Mustang Vision-001

Image
The Ford Mustang is one of the planet’s most iconic performance names and essentially, a brand within a brand, but what if the Blue Oval decided to drastically overhaul the Mustang as we know it and launch an all-electric hypercar with that famous nameplate? That’s what these illustrations from Ankit Ukil, an automotive design student at the College For Creative Studies in Detroit, try to depict. The front end of the Ford Mustang Vision 001 is exceptionally striking and includes a low-slung nose with sharp LED headlights and a massive splitter to stick the front wheels to the pavement. Additionally, there are a set of bulging arches housing the wheels as well as a glass cockpit that’s barely any higher than these arches. Such a design would give the driver a unique view of the road and help them place the car perfectly when cornering. If you thought the front was bold, the rear takes things to another level. Immediately standing out are the Mustang-inspired LED taillights as wel

Mercedes-Benz AMG CLA35

Image
We know this is not a new car. These are not spy shots either. And it is definitely not a render. The new AMG CLA35 is quite possibly, the best ever access model to the AMG segment: Affalterbach never released a car so gorgeous, balanced, fast and enjoyable at that price. That’s a great thing for us the consumers. Not so good for the C-Class sales though, that are being slowly cannibalised by the supposedly smaller, but actually lower, wider, and longer CLA. Unfortunately, the previous and much uglier CLA... sounded much better. With new EU harder and harder restrictions we will have to accept it and enjoy. Cheers! Original Post

McLaren Bruce Prototype

Image
The Speedtail may be the closest thing to a direct successor to the iconic McLaren F1 that we’re going to get. However, designer Marc Señan is sharing his dream version of a supercar from the British brand with styling inspired by the iconic BMW S70/02 V12-powered model. Señan is not your usual rendering hobbyist or even transportation design student. He’s an actual professional automotive designer with a long career in the industry. He has worked for the likes of Seat, Fiat, and Lamborghini in the past. Note: This is an independently made illustration by @marc_senan that isn’t related or endorsed by @mclarenauto Original Post

2021 Alpina D3 S

Image
Following the debut of the gasoline-powered B3 late last year, Alpina Automobiles has now unveiled the diesel-powered D3 S. Available both in Sedan and Touring body styles, the Alpina D3 S should, in theory at least, become the closest thing to a diesel-powered BMW M3. We say that because its 3.0-liter turbocharged straight-six diesel delivers 355 PS (350 HP) at 4,000-4,200 rpm. That’s 15 PS (15 HP) more than the stock model on which the Alpina D3 S is based, the BMW M340d. When it comes to the peak torque, the D3 S unleashes 730 Nm (538 lb-ft) between 1,750 rpm and 2,750 rpm – 30 Nm (22 lb-ft) more than the M340d. Original Post

New Huracan EVO RWD Spyder

Image
The new V10 model provides drivers with an open-air celebration of lightweight engineering, with rear-wheel drive and a specially tuned Performance Traction Control System (P-TCS). Roof up or down, daily driving and high-performance fun are accompanied by the inimitable sound of the V10 aspirated power plant, delivering the same 610 hp (449 kW) and 560 Nm of torque as the coupé version. With a 0-100 km/h acceleration of just 3,5 seconds and a top speed of 324 km/h, like its coupé stablemate the Spyder is an instinctive driver’s car, delivering a fun-to-drive experience via hardware rather than software. “The Huracán EVO Rear-Wheel Drive Spyder doubles the driving fun, delivering raw driving pleasure with the opportunity to celebrate life outside. The driver is perfectly in touch with Lamborghini’s engineering heritage, experiencing the feedback and engagement from the set-up of a rear-wheel drive car where electronic intrusion is minimised, while enjoying the sense of freedom and spir

Koenigsegg RAW Concept

Image
Koenigsegg has revealed a concept that shows what a future entry-level model for the Swedish hypercar maker could look like. Named the Raw, after the design house owned by Koenigsegg, the striking three-seater combines a carbonfibre occupant cell with an innovative three-cylinder engine from partner firm Freevalve. This means it weighs just 700kg while producing 690bhp, giving it a one-to-one power-to-weight ratio – a feat previously brought to production by Koenigsegg in 2015 with the Agera-based, 1341bhp One:1. Mito GTA: The Cancelled Concept

Alfa Romeo presented the Mito GTA as a near-production concept at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show, featuring a more aggressive bodywork with various styling changes and the company’s then-fresh-off-the-oven 1.75-liter turbo four-cylinder engine with direct fuel injection kicking out 240 HP and paired to a six-speed manual transmission. The Alfa Romeo Mito GTA was a hot hatch almost ready to roll off the factory gates but the financial crisis of the period made it hard for the Italian automaker to justify the development costs. At the front, it appears as though the headlights and air intakes have been tweaked to give the car a fresh face, while at the rear the twin-tailpipes have adopted a slightly different design. Lanzante McLaren P1 GTR

Image
The McLaren P1 has been out of production for a number of years, but British motorsport and engineering firm Lanzante continues to churn out special versions of the plug-in hybrid hypercar. The latest is the P1 GTR-18, of which Lanzante will build just six examples using donor P1 GTR track cars. Lanzante is a company with close ties to McLaren. This is the same company that fielded the F1 GTR that won overall at the 1995 24 Hours of Le Mans, and in more recent years it's been offering a road car conversion package for the P1 GTR. It's also rolled the P1 LM and P1 GT Longtail both based on the P1 GTR. Now we can add the P1 GTR-18 to the list. Like the previous P1 GT Longtail, the P1 GTR-18 features a longer rear section, realized by a new diffuser jutting rearward. And up above is a massive rear wing that together with the diffuser should provide plenty of downforce. You'll notice that Lanzante has also installed a more aggressive front splitter, chunkier side skirts, and a

@j.b.cars has edited what we consider the best render available of the new Mercedes S-Class (internal code W223). If you visit his page you will find a YouTube timelapse video showing how it was made. Unfortunately, following the market trend imposed by the highly restrictive EU emission and noise regulations, the S63 will be much likely discontinued as it is today. The gap will most probably be filled by a 6 cylinder turbocharged S53, and an 8 cylinder turbocharged hybrid S73 with around 750-800hp (same engine as the expected for the new AMG GT 73S 4-door). Prices for the Alfa Giulia GTA

Image
Just 500 examples across both the GTA and GTAm iterations will be made available. In euros, the Giulia GTA will cost from €176,500, with the GTAm setting owners back at least €181,500. For UK buyers, Alfa says that the price will be converted to Pound Sterling at the point of purchase. It means, with current exchange rates, buyers are looking at price tags of around £154,000 and £158,000 respectively. This new version of the brand’s Mercedes-AMG C 63 S rival boasts more power than the regular Giulia Quadrifoglio, while also shedding weight and introducing several uncompromising aerodynamic tweaks. The GTAm takes things even further with full racing seats, a roll cage, and the deletion of the rear bench. 📸 @alfaromeoofficial Original Post

New Ford Puma Crossover

Image
Ford has confirmed that a hot ST version of its new Puma crossover will arrive later this year. A preview image - the first official acknowledgement of the model’s existence - suggests the Hyundai Kona N rival’s performance-inspired bodywork will bear a strong resemblance to recently spotted prototypes of the model. Prototypes seen lapping the Nürburgring sported a prominent lower bodykit that extended around the car from a splitter-style front bumper to a new rear bumper that houses twin tailpipes. The Puma is the third model in Ford’s European line-up to receive an ST version and the brand’s first hot SUV to launch here. It will take on the similarly conceived Hyundai Kona N and Hyundai HR-V in the developing performance compact SUV segment. Original Post

New BMW 4 Series Prototype

All eyes will be on that kidney grille when the BMW 4 Series is unveiled, and it has the potential to detract from what is an excellent two-door coupé. 2021 BMW 5 Series LCI

Image
Ahead of the official Internet premiere later this month, the new LCI generation of the 2021 BMW 5 Series is now revealed. The new 5 Series facelift looks pretty spot on and is a welcome makeover of the previous model, which was criticised for looking a little dull and out of place in the BMW portfolio. The new 5 Series LCI blends in the most recent BMW exterior design philosophy to achieve a smoother, better resolved styling. The headlamps look inspired by the G11/G12 7 Series LCI, with new filaments for the daytime running lights. Also new is the radiator grille, which now appears more massive and tridimensional thanks to the reinterpreted vertical slats and the muscular kidney frames. At a glance, the new 2021 BMW 5 Series LCI also looks more powerful, bold and attractive compared to the outgoing generation. Original Post
