Ahead of the official Internet premiere later this month, the new LCI generation of the 2021 BMW 5 Series is now revealed.
The new 5 Series facelift looks pretty spot on and is a welcome makeover of the previous model, which was criticised for looking a little dull and out of place in the BMW portfolio.
The new 5 Series LCI blends in the most recent BMW exterior design philosophy to achieve a smoother, better resolved styling. The headlamps look inspired by the G11/G12 7 Series LCI, with new filaments for the daytime running lights.
Also new is the radiator grille, which now appears more massive and tridimensional thanks to the reinterpreted vertical slats and the muscular kidney frames.
At a glance, the new 2021 BMW 5 Series LCI also looks more powerful, bold and attractive compared to the outgoing generation.

Stuttgart. The Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupé and Cabriolet are the most emotionally appealing representatives of the luxury-class family of models. The latest measures to boost their attractiveness make these two dream cars even more desirable. The styling has been sportily honed with the front sections, in particular, being given a fresh look. The all-LED headlamps have been given flatter housings, while the interior of the LED tail lights has been reworked. At the same time the two-door models take on the key upgrade features of the other body variants as part of the facelift. These include electrified, and therefore more efficient, petrol as well as diesel engines with integrated starter-alternator, the next generation of driving assistance systems and the infotainment system MBUX infotainment system (Mercedes-Benz User Experience).
